Thank you for your support of the Junior League of Winston-Salem through considering a donation to our Annual Fund. The Annual Fund supports our league directly and is essential to bringing valuable assistance and opportunity to our neighbors. Like volunteer service, philanthropic support has an immediate impact on our community and enables the JLWS to realize its ultimate goal of developing women leaders.

Strong participation from our membership encourages community partners to support our efforts. Whether $1 or $1,000, every donation helps the JLWS fulfill its mission and continue to make lasting community change.

Membership dues alone are not enough to cover the day-to-day operating costs of the organization. By making a donation to the Annual Fund, you are helping to ensure the enduring legacy of the JLWS and are providing critical support to the following programs and initiatives:

• Backpack Program provides nutritious kid-friendly foods for children to take home over the weekends during the school year.
• BookWORM has collected and distributed over 10,000 children’s books in Forsyth County!
• Kids in the Kitchen is helping to reverse childhood obesity and associated health issues by demonstrating healthy snack preparations and exercise.
• Over 4,400 WS/FCS students have seen the annually-performed You Can Always Talk to Somebody Puppet Show!
• Strong Women. Strong Families. educates the community about proper nutrition and health by providing free cooking demonstrations, healthy dinners, and health screenings.
• New Member/Provisional Member training and further developing our active members as the community’s future leaders.

HOW TO DONATE

While no specific amount is required, we hope you consider what you are able to contribute above and beyond your annual dues. Regardless of the amount you choose to give, know that your gift is meaningful and appreciated. Donations to the Annual Fund are also a wonderful way to acknowledge the work of a fellow member or mentor, a way to thank to a fellow League member, remember a loved one, or simply in honor of a special occasion!

The donation is tax-deductible and a letter will be sent for tax purposes.
